Her story
Professor Dr. Wahida Khan Chowdhury is a dermatologist, venereologist and cosmetic laser specialist in Dhaka, now practising at Dr. Wahida's Skinology in Banani. She earned her MBBS from Sylhet Medical College in 1992, then trained in skin medicine at Dhaka Medical College, completing her Diploma in Dermatology & Venereology (DDV) in 2010.
In 2011 she was awarded the FCPS in Dermatology & Venereology by the Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons (BCPS), Bangladesh's postgraduate specialist fellowship. Alongside her medical dermatology work, she has practised as a cosmetic and laser specialist, treating acne, melasma, pigmentation and ageing skin with chemical peels, laser and regenerative treatments.
Dr. Wahida has also taught dermatology since 2010. Most recently, she served as Professor and Head of the Department of Dermatology & Venereology at Enam Medical College and Hospital, training the next generation of Bangladeshi dermatologists. She has also consulted at Praava Health in Dhaka.
For years, patients knew her practice as Wahida's Dermacare. Dr. Wahida's Skinology is its next chapter: a new skin clinic in Banani with a wider range of medical and aesthetic treatments, still built around her personal care.
